Possible Causes

Failed internal self-test relay in GFCI/CCID module, Corroded test circuit connections, Control board self-test logic failure, Internal leakage in sensing transformer

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not bypass CCID protection. Turn off power before opening the unit.

  • Power cycle and retest: Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and observe if E15 clears.
  • Inspect CCID module: Locate the CCID/GFCI module or section on the control board. Check for loose connectors or corrosion.
  • Moisture check: Look for signs of condensation or water ingress inside the enclosure. If present, dry the unit thoroughly, correct any sealing issues (gasket, cable gland), and retest.
  • Replace CCID or board: If E15 persists, the CCID self-test circuitry has failed. Replace the CCID module or the entire control board assembly as specified by Sun Country Highway.
