Possible Causes

Neutral connected incorrectly on split‑phase system, Shared neutral with other circuits, Reversed line and neutral, Loose neutral connection in panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Miswiring can create shock hazards. Only a licensed electrician should correct neutral/earth wiring.

  • Review installation diagram: Compare the actual wiring to Tesla's installation manual for your Wall Connector generation and local supply type.
  • Inspect neutral routing: Ensure the neutral (if used) is dedicated to the EV circuit and not shared with other loads.
  • Correct polarity: Verify that line conductors are on the correct terminals and that neutral is not landed on a ground terminal or vice versa.
  • Tighten connections: Loose neutrals can cause intermittent faults; retorque all neutral and ground lugs in the panel and Wall Connector.
  • Retest: After corrections, restore power and attempt charging. If CP_a011 persists, the internal sensing circuit may be damaged.
