Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work with a licensed electrician for live voltage and load measurements.
- Check breaker and wire size: Verify the circuit breaker and conductor gauge match the charger’s installation manual. Undersized wire can cause excessive voltage drop.
- Measure voltage under load: Have an electrician measure voltage at the charger while attempting to start a charge. If voltage sags below the minimum rating, reduce load on the circuit or upgrade wiring.
- Inspect terminations: With power OFF, tighten all line and ground connections inside the charger and at the breaker panel.
- Dedicated circuit: Ensure the EV charger is on a dedicated circuit and not sharing with other large appliances.
If supply voltage is stable and within spec but E05 continues, the internal low-voltage power supply or sensing circuit on the control board may be failing and should be replaced.
