Possible Causes

Open ground conductor in supply cable, Loose ground lug inside charger, Corroded ground connection at service panel, Faulty ground monitoring circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: A missing ground is dangerous. Do not use the charger until the ground fault is corrected.

  • Visual inspection: With power OFF, open the charger and verify the green/yellow ground conductor is securely attached to the ground terminal and chassis.
  • Check supply cable: Inspect the cable from the panel to the charger for damage or loose terminations at both ends.
  • Continuity test: Have an electrician test continuity between the charger chassis and the main service ground bar.

If the physical ground is intact but E14 remains, the ground monitoring circuit on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
