Possible Causes
Loose low-voltage harness between control board and communication module, Faulty CAN or serial transceiver, Electrical noise from nearby equipment, Firmware incompatibility between modules
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal modules.
- Reseat connectors: With the cover removed and power OFF, unplug and replug low-voltage harnesses between the main control board, communication module, and any add-on boards.
- Check cable routing: Ensure low-voltage communication cables are not tightly bundled with high-current AC lines, which can induce noise.
- Firmware alignment: Update all modules to the latest firmware versions recommended by United Chargers so they are mutually compatible.
If E16 persists, one of the modules (often the communication or expansion board) may need replacement.
