Possible Causes
Incorrect control pilot PWM signal from Vestel main board, Faulty vehicle communication interface on main board, Damaged CP conductor in Type 2 socket harness, Firmware mismatch causing protocol error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before internal inspection. Communication faults usually do not present a shock hazard but can indicate wiring issues.
- 1. Test with multiple vehicles: Try at least two different EVs. If E07 occurs with all vehicles, the fault is likely in the charger; if only one vehicle is affected, advise vehicle diagnostics.
- 2. Inspect CP wiring: With power off, trace the CP wire from the Type 2 socket to the main control board. Check for cuts, pinches, or loose terminals. Reseat the connector on the board.
- 3. Check socket condition: Examine the CP pin in the Type 2 socket for corrosion or mechanical damage. Clean gently and ensure good spring tension.
- 4. Firmware update: Using Vestel’s service tool or web interface (if supported), check the firmware version and update to the latest release, which may correct communication bugs.
- 5. Board-level diagnosis: If wiring and firmware are correct, the CP/PWM driver or measurement circuit on the main control board may be defective. Replace the main control board.
