Charger shows E09; charging cannot be started and the cable may remain locked.

Safety first: Isolate power before working on the lock mechanism. Avoid forcing the plug out, as this can damage the socket.

• 1. Attempt software unlock: Use the Vestel app or front panel to send an unlock command. Listen for the actuator. If no sound is heard, proceed to mechanical checks.
• 2. Inspect for visible obstruction: With power off, examine the Type 2 socket area for foreign objects or ice around the lock pin. Carefully remove debris.
• 3. Manual release (if provided): Some Vestel models include a manual release lever or pull cord accessible behind a small cover. Follow the user manual to manually release the cable.
• 4. Check actuator wiring: Remove the front cover and locate the lock actuator. Verify that its connector is firmly seated on both the actuator and main board ends. Look for damaged or pinched wires.
• 5. Test actuator: Disconnect the actuator and apply its rated DC voltage from a bench supply to confirm movement. If it does not move or is noisy/jammed, replace the lock actuator assembly.
• 6. Verify lock sensor: If the actuator moves but the charger still reports E09, test the lock position sensor or microswitch with a multimeter and replace if faulty.
