Possible Causes
Incorrect OCPP server URL or credentials, TLS certificate issues on Vestel communication module, Firewall or port blocking on local network, Faulty communication module firmware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No special electrical risk, but always follow lockout procedures before opening the unit.
- 1. Verify internet access: Confirm that the site’s internet connection is working and that other devices can reach external servers.
- 2. Check OCPP settings: In the charger’s configuration interface, verify the OCPP server URL, port, charge point ID, and authentication credentials. Correct any typos.
- 3. Firewall/port check: Ensure that the router/firewall allows outbound connections on the OCPP port (commonly 443 or 8080/8887). Adjust rules if necessary.
- 4. Certificate validation: If using secure OCPP (wss/https), confirm that the charger’s date/time is correct and that required certificates are installed and valid.
- 5. Reboot communication module: Power cycle the charger or, if supported, reboot only the communication module via the service interface.
- 6. Firmware update or module replacement: If E12 persists, update the communication module firmware. If still unresolved, replace the communication module PCB.
