Possible Causes
Missing phase at charger input, Incorrect phase rotation (L1/L2/L3 swapped), Loose terminal on one phase, Faulty phase monitoring circuit on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Three-phase systems are hazardous. Only qualified electricians should work on them. Isolate the supply and verify absence of voltage.
- 1. Measure phase voltages: At the charger input, measure L1–L2, L2–L3, and L3–L1. All should be within specified limits and present.
- 2. Check terminal tightness: With power off, tighten all phase terminals and inspect for signs of overheating or discoloration.
- 3. Verify phase sequence: Use a phase rotation tester at the charger input. If rotation is incorrect, swap two phases at the upstream distribution board (not inside the charger unless permitted by Vestel).
- 4. Inspect internal wiring: Ensure that internal links from the input terminals to the contactor and power module are intact and correctly connected.
- 5. Replace phase monitor circuitry: If supply is correct but E17 persists, the phase monitoring circuit on the main control or power board may be defective. Replace the relevant board.
