Vestel EV charger makes loud humming or buzzing noises during charging.

Safety first: Noise alone is not usually dangerous, but always isolate power before tightening or replacing components.

• 1. Identify noise source: Carefully listen with the cover on to locate the general area (contactor vs. power board). Then isolate power and open the unit for closer inspection.
• 2. Tighten mounting hardware: Check that the main contactor, transformers, inductors, and heatsinks are firmly mounted. Tighten screws to the recommended torque.
• 3. Inspect contactor: If the contactor buzzes loudly, consider replacing it with a new Vestel-approved contactor of the same rating.
• 4. Check for resonance: Ensure that internal wiring is not touching vibrating components; reposition and secure harnesses with cable ties.
• 5. Monitor temperature: If noise is accompanied by overheating or burning smell, stop using the charger and perform a full electrical inspection.
