Possible Causes
Damaged Ethernet cable, Faulty RJ45 jack on charger, Disabled Ethernet interface in configuration, Failed Ethernet PHY on communication module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ethernet is low voltage, but isolate power before opening the charger.
- 1. Test cable: Replace the Ethernet cable with a known-good one and test again.
- 2. Check router/switch port: Connect another device to the same port to confirm it is working.
- 3. Inspect RJ45 jack: Look for bent pins or damage inside the charger’s Ethernet socket.
- 4. Enable Ethernet: In the charger’s configuration, ensure Ethernet is enabled and not set to Wi‑Fi-only mode.
- 5. Replace communication module: If link LEDs remain off with a good cable and port, replace the communication module PCB that hosts the Ethernet PHY.
