Possible Causes
CTs installed on wrong conductors, CT polarity reversed, Incorrect CT ratio configured in charger, Loose CT secondary connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: CTs are installed on live mains; only qualified electricians should adjust them. Isolate circuits where possible.
- 1. Verify CT placement: Confirm that CTs are clamped around the correct phase conductors feeding the property, not individual branch circuits.
- 2. Check orientation: Ensure the arrow on each CT points in the direction specified by Vestel (usually towards the load).
- 3. Confirm CT ratio: In the charger configuration, set the CT ratio to match the installed CTs (e.g., 100 A:1 A).
- 4. Tighten CT terminals: Ensure CT secondary wires are firmly connected at the charger’s CT input terminals.
- 5. Test readings: Compare the charger’s reported house load with a clamp meter measurement. Adjust configuration or replace CTs if discrepancies remain.
