VW wallbox shows E012; charging power is limited or disabled when other household loads are active.

Safety first: External load management wiring is usually low voltage but may be near mains conductors. Only qualified persons should modify it.

• Check gateway/energy manager: Ensure the Volkswagen home energy manager or third‑party load controller is powered and online. Reboot it if necessary.
• Verify network: If the VW wallbox uses Ethernet/Wi‑Fi to talk to the energy manager, confirm network connectivity and that both devices are on the same network.
• Temporarily disable load management: In the VW wallbox app or energy manager interface, if allowed, disable dynamic load management and test a short charging session.

If E012 persists, the communication interface or configuration between the VW wallbox and the external meter/controller must be checked by an installer. Damaged current clamps or miswired Modbus lines may need correction or replacement.
