Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker immediately. Do not use the charger until the fault is resolved.
- Check enclosure integrity: Inspect the wallbox housing, cable glands, and seals for cracks or gaps. Tighten glands and replace damaged gaskets.
- Dry the unit: If moisture is visible inside, leave the cover off (with power OFF) in a dry, ventilated area for 24–48 hours. Do not use heat guns directly on electronics.
- Inspect wiring: Look for nicks, crushed insulation, or rodent damage on internal conductors. Replace any damaged wires.
- Connector cleaning: Clean and dry the Type 2 connector thoroughly. If the plastic is cracked or the pins are green with corrosion, replace the connector or entire cable.
If E13 persists after drying and inspection, the insulation monitoring circuit on the control board may be faulty. Professional testing with an insulation resistance tester is recommended before replacing parts.
