Possible Causes

Faulty RFID reader module, Loose RFID antenna connection, Corrupted user authorization data, EMI interference near reader

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: This is primarily a low‑voltage control issue; still, disconnect mains power before opening the unit.

  • Test with app access: Try starting a charging session via the Wallbox app instead of RFID. If app control works, the issue is isolated to the RFID system.
  • Try multiple RFID cards: Use another authorized card or tag to rule out a defective card.
  • Check reader area: Ensure there are no metallic stickers or covers over the RFID reader area that could block the signal.
  • Internal inspection (qualified technician): Open the Wallbox and locate the RFID reader board and antenna. Verify that the antenna cable is firmly connected and not pinched.
  • Re‑provision users: Using the Wallbox management app or portal, remove and re‑add RFID users. If the error persists, replace the RFID reader module.

If access control is not required, some models allow disabling RFID in settings; consult the manual. Otherwise, replace the RFID reader to restore normal operation.
