Possible Causes
Faulty proximity or pilot detection in connector, Broken PP/CP conductor, Debris preventing full insertion, Damaged vehicle inlet switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the connector into the vehicle. Turn off power before internal checks.
- Ensure full insertion: Push the connector firmly until it clicks. If it does not latch, inspect for obstructions.
- Inspect connector and inlet: Look for dirt, corrosion, or physical damage on both sides. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Test with another EV or cable: Swap components to isolate whether the issue is with the Wallbox cable or the vehicle.
- Internal wiring check (technician): With power off, verify continuity of the PP and CP lines from the connector to the main board. Replace the cable assembly if open.
If plug detection still fails after cable replacement, the vehicle inlet or main board detection circuit may require service.
