Possible Causes

Short circuit or partial short in Walli output cable, Sticking or welded Walli contactor/relay, Incorrect current configuration exceeding internal rating, Faulty current sensor on Walli control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Overcurrent conditions can cause fire. Do not repeatedly reset without inspection.

Steps:

  • Inspect output cable: Look for burn marks, melted insulation, or crushed sections along the Walli cable. If any damage is found, replace the cable assembly.
  • Check configuration: In the Walli app or internal DIP switches, verify the maximum current setting does not exceed the charger model rating and the upstream breaker rating.
  • Listen for relay operation: When starting a charge, you should hear a distinct click from the internal contactor. Rapid chattering or no click may indicate a relay fault.
  • Internal inspection: With power off, open the Walli housing and visually inspect the power relay/contactor for discoloration or melted plastic. Do not touch power busbars.
  • If relay appears damaged or E06 persists: Replace the Walli power contactor/relay assembly or the entire power module according to the service manual.
