Possible Causes
Jammed mechanical lock pin in Walli socket, Failed lock actuator motor/solenoid, Broken lock position sensor, Foreign object in socket locking channel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before attempting to free a jammed lock. Do not force the vehicle plug out while the lock is engaged.
Steps:
- Check for debris: Inspect the Walli socket for stones, ice, or foreign objects around the locking slot. Carefully remove any obstruction.
- Attempt software unlock: Use the Walli app or front button (if available) to send an unlock command. Listen for the actuator.
- Manual release (if provided): Some Walli models have a manual release tab behind a small cover. Follow the manual to mechanically release the lock.
- Internal inspection: With power off and cover removed, locate the lock actuator and its wiring harness. Check for loose connectors or broken wires.
- Replace faulty parts: If the actuator does not move when commanded and wiring is intact, replace the Walli connector lock actuator assembly. If the actuator moves but the charger still reports E13, replace the lock position sensor or the entire socket module.
