Possible Causes
Faulty Walli power contactor, Defective contactor driver on main board, Incorrect access control settings (RFID/app lock), Pilot signal not reaching 'ready' state
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the charger is de‑energized before opening the housing.
Steps:
- Check access control: In the Walli app, verify that the charger is not set to 'locked' or restricted mode. Present an authorized RFID card if required.
- Listen for relay: When you plug in the vehicle and authorize charging, you should hear a click from inside the Walli. No click suggests the contactor is not being driven.
- Test with another EV: Try a different vehicle to rule out a vehicle‑side issue.
- Internal inspection: With power off, open the unit and visually inspect the contactor and its wiring harness. Check for loose coil wires or burnt contacts.
- Replace contactor or board: If the contactor coil is open or the driver is not energizing it (technician test), replace the Walli power contactor or main control board as appropriate.
