How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Communication wiring is low voltage but runs near mains; isolate power before opening covers.
- Check configuration: In the installer menu, verify that load management is enabled only if a compatible controller is installed.
- Temporarily disable: If allowed by Webasto, disable load management to test if the charger operates normally in stand‑alone mode.
- Inspect bus wiring: Ensure twisted pair communication cables are correctly landed on the terminals and polarity is respected (A/B or +/−).
- Controller status: Verify that the external Webasto load controller or energy manager is powered and functioning.
- Persistent E18: May require replacement of the communication interface or main PCB.
