Possible Causes
Incompatible charging mode or schedule in vehicle, Faulty vehicle inlet proximity switch, Misinterpretation of CP duty cycle by EV, Marginal CP signal amplitude from charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: There is usually no live output when E20 is present, but avoid touching pins.
- Check vehicle settings: Ensure the EV is not set to delayed charging or limited to a different connector type.
- Restart vehicle: Lock the car, wait several minutes, and then unlock and retry plugging in.
- Test another EV: If another vehicle charges normally, the issue is likely in the original EV.
- Update firmware: Make sure both the Webasto charger and the EV have the latest firmware/software updates.
- If all EVs fail: The CP signal driver in the Webasto unit may be weak or distorted and require PCB repair or replacement.
