Possible Causes
Undersized supply cable causing voltage drop, Loose terminal connections, Utility brownout or weak grid, Faulty voltage measurement on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Repeated undervoltage can stress both charger and vehicle electronics.
Steps:
- Check for general power issues: If lights dim when large loads start, your supply may be weak. Avoid charging during peak usage and consult an electrician.
- Reduce charging current: In the Zaptec app, lower the maximum current (e.g., from 32 A to 16 A) and test if E06 disappears.
- Technician inspection: Verify tightness of all supply terminals in the charger and distribution board. Measure voltage at no-load and under load to check for excessive drop.
- If wiring and grid are OK: Suspect a faulty voltage sensing circuit on the main control board and replace it.
