Possible Causes
Faulty door switch or reed sensor, Magnet missing from door, Broken alarm buzzer circuit, Control board alarm logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before testing switches.
Steps:
- 1. Check door switch: Locate the door switch (mechanical plunger or magnetic reed). Press it manually and see if the interior light responds when powered.
- 2. Test continuity: With power off, remove the switch and test for continuity when pressed and released. Replace if readings are inconsistent.
- 3. Magnet check: For reed switches, ensure the door magnet is present and aligned with the switch location.
- 4. Reseat connectors: Check the wiring from the switch to the control board for loose plugs or damage.
If the alarm persists with a known-good switch and correct temperature, the control board may be faulty.
