Possible Causes

Blown household fuse or tripped breaker, Faulty mains cable, Defective mains filter or power module, Internal wiring harness disconnected

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Always unplug before inspecting the power cord or internal components.

Steps:

  • 1. Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance to confirm power is present.
  • 2. Inspect plug and cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the cable if damaged (by a qualified person).
  • 3. Check household protection: Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses with the correct rating.
  • 4. Internal fuse: Some AEG models have an internal fuse on the mains filter or PCB. Access the control area and test/replace the fuse if blown.

If power is present at the input but the control board remains dead, the mains filter or PCB may need replacement.
