Possible Causes

Faulty alarm sensor input on main PCB, Shorted buzzer or alarm circuit, Incorrect sensor calibration after part replacement, Wiring short between sensor and control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before opening any panels.

Steps:

  • 1. Verify actual temperature: Place a separate freezer thermometer inside and confirm the real temperature. If it is within normal range (-18°C or below) but alarm persists, suspect electronics.
  • 2. Sensor cross-check: If your model has separate alarm and control sensors, verify both are correctly connected and not swapped.
  • 3. Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the sensor(s) to the main PCB for pinched or rubbed-through insulation that could cause a short.
  • 4. Buzzer test: If the buzzer sounds distorted or continuous regardless of conditions, it may be shorted on the PCB. This usually requires main board replacement.
  • 5. Replace main PCB if needed: If sensors test correctly and wiring is intact, replace the "Amica Main Control Board" to restore proper alarm function.

Temporary measure: Some models allow muting the alarm via the control panel, but this does not fix the underlying fault.
