Possible Causes

Stuck or failed fast-freeze relay on main PCB, Faulty fast-freeze button or touch sensor, Firmware error in control logic, Shorted wiring to fast-freeze indicator or circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect mains power before working on controls.

Procedure:

  • 1. Check user controls: Press the fast-freeze (super) button and observe if the indicator LED or icon responds. If the button is unresponsive, suspect the keypad or touch panel.
  • 2. Power reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes and retry. Sometimes E12 can clear after a full reset.
  • 3. Inspect control panel: Access the control panel and verify the fast-freeze button switch or touch sensor is intact and its ribbon cable is firmly connected.
  • 4. Main PCB inspection: Access the main control board and look for a relay labeled for fast-freeze or compressor boost. Burn marks or clicking without compressor response indicate a relay fault.
  • 5. Replace faulty component: Replace the "Control Panel/Keypad Assembly" if the button is defective, or the "Main Control Board" if the relay or logic is faulty.

Note: Fast-freeze mode is important for quickly freezing fresh food; leaving it permanently on can increase energy use.
