Possible Causes
Corrupted startup sequence in control firmware, Low voltage at startup, Damaged reset circuit on main PCB, Faulty internal power supply on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before touching internal components.
Procedure:
- 1. Verify mains voltage: If possible, have the outlet voltage checked by a qualified person. Avoid using long extension cords.
- 2. Extended reset: Unplug the freezer for at least 30 minutes to allow full discharge of the control board. Reconnect and see if E20 clears.
- 3. Inspect main PCB: Access the board and look for obvious damage in the power supply section (burnt resistors, swollen capacitors).
- 4. Replace main PCB: If E20 persists and there is no visible external cause, replace the "Amica Main Control Board".
Tip: If your area has frequent brownouts, consider a voltage stabilizer rated for refrigerators/freezers.
