Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord, Defective mains switch (if fitted), Failed main control board power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the outlet is safe and not overloaded.
Steps:
- 1. Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another appliance and reset any tripped breakers.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Look for visible damage. Replace the cord if necessary.
- 3. Main switch: Some Amica freezers have a power switch; ensure it is in the ON position.
- 4. Access main PCB: With power disconnected, remove the rear panel and inspect the board for an accessible fuse. Replace only with the same type and rating if blown.
- 5. Board replacement: If the fuse blows again immediately or there is no visible fuse, the main control board may have failed and should be replaced.
Note: If you are not comfortable working with mains circuits, contact a qualified technician.
