Amica
Continuous Run Due to Air Leaks or Control Issues
Freezer runs continuously and never cycles off, but temperature is acceptable.

Possible Causes
Damaged or hardened door gasket, Door not closing fully due to misaligned hinges, Temperature set too low or fast-freeze left on, Faulty thermostat or temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always unplug before adjusting hinges or replacing gaskets.
Steps:
- 1. Check door closure: Close the door on a sheet of paper at several points around the gasket. If the paper pulls out easily, the seal is weak in that area.
- 2. Inspect gasket: Look for splits, deformation, or gaps. Warm the gasket gently with a hair dryer (on low) and reshape it to improve sealing. If badly damaged, replace the "Amica Freezer Door Gasket".
- 3. Level and hinge adjustment: Ensure the freezer is level and the door is not sagging. Adjust front feet and hinge screws so the door self-closes from a small opening.
- 4. Check settings: Turn off fast-freeze mode and set the thermostat to a moderate setting. Monitor if the compressor begins to cycle.
- 5. Control fault: If the unit still runs continuously with good sealing and normal settings, the thermostat or control board may be faulty and require replacement.
Tip: Continuous running increases energy consumption and wear on the compressor.
