Possible Causes
Dirty condenser coils, Condenser fan not running, Door gasket leaking warm air, Partial refrigerant loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before cleaning coils or touching the compressor area.
- Clean condenser: Pull the Ariston freezer away from the wall and vacuum dust from the condenser coils and compressor area.
- Check condenser fan: On no-frost models, verify the fan near the condenser runs when the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it does not run.
- Inspect door gasket: Close the door on a sheet of paper and gently pull. If it slides out easily in multiple spots, the gasket may be worn and should be replaced.
- Reduce door openings: Avoid frequent or prolonged door openings while the freezer is trying to recover temperature.
When to call a technician: If performance remains poor after cleaning and gasket checks, a sealed-system issue such as a refrigerant leak may be present and requires professional service.
