Possible Causes
Loose or damaged communication harness between UI and main board, Failed display/UI PCB, Oxidized connectors, Main control board communication driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or display assembly.
- Inspect the control panel: Check for signs of moisture ingress, cracks, or physical damage to the display area.
- Access the UI board: Remove the front/top trim to expose the user interface PCB. Carefully note screw and clip positions.
- Check harness connections: Ensure the ribbon cable or wiring harness between the UI and main board is fully seated and not pinched or damaged.
- Clean connectors: If you see oxidation, gently clean contacts with electronic contact cleaner and allow to dry fully before reassembly.
- Replace the UI board if non-responsive: If buttons do not respond or the display is blank/garbled while power is present, install a new Asko-compatible UI board.
If AL09 persists after UI and harness checks, the main control board may have a communication fault and should be tested by a technician.
