Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the rear electronics or main control board. High voltage is present on these circuits.
- Verify compressor condition: If previously diagnosed as good (or recently replaced), suspect the relay or board.
- Access the main control board: Remove the rear or top electronics cover. Identify the compressor relay (often a small rectangular component near the compressor output terminals).
- Inspect for damage: Look for burnt marks, cracked relay housing, or discolored PCB around the relay.
- Check wiring: Ensure the harness from the board to the compressor start device is secure and not burnt.
- Replace the main control board: As the relay is usually not serviceable separately, replace the entire board with an OEM Asko part, transferring all connectors one by one to avoid miswiring.
If you are not comfortable working around mains voltage and PCB components, have a qualified technician perform this repair.
