Possible Causes
Door left open or frequently opened, Recent large warm food load, Power outage causing thawing, Failing compressor or refrigerant loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for this alarm alone, but always unplug before removing panels.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket seals all around. Remove any items blocking closure.
- Allow recovery time: If a large quantity of warm food was added, set the freezer to Super/Quick Freeze (if available) and allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
- Reset alarm: Press the alarm reset or temperature button as described in the user manual. If the alarm returns and temperature remains high, further diagnosis is needed.
- Check for cooling: Verify that the compressor and internal fan are running and that the evaporator gets cold after 15–20 minutes. If not, investigate compressor, fan, or sealed-system issues.
- Call a technician: If the freezer cannot reach set temperature despite running continuously, a sealed-system or compressor fault is likely and requires professional repair.
