Possible Causes

Disconnected temperature sensor, Sensor shorted by ice, Faulty display PCB, Faulty main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or boards.

Steps:

  • Manual defrost: If there is heavy ice build-up, fully defrost the freezer for 24 hours to clear ice from around sensors.
  • Check sensor connections: Access the freezer NTC sensor and ensure its connector is firmly plugged into the harness.
  • Inspect display: Check for moisture or condensation behind the display window; dry thoroughly.
  • If dashes remain, test and replace the temperature sensor first. If still unresolved, the display PCB or main control board may require replacement.
