Possible Causes
Stuck air damper, Ice blocking air channels, Faulty damper motor, Damaged damper position sensor or wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing internal panels.
Steps:
- Manual defrost: Turn off and defrost the unit completely for 24 hours to clear any ice blocking the air ducts.
- Check vents: Ensure internal air vents are not blocked by food packages.
- Access damper (if fitted): On some Beko upright freezers, the damper is behind a plastic cover near the top or rear of the compartment.
- Inspect damper:
- Check for broken gears or obstructions.
- Ensure the damper flap moves freely.
- Inspect wiring to the damper motor.
- Replace damper assembly: If the motor is noisy, stuck, or not moving when commanded, replace the damper/multi-flow assembly with a genuine Beko part.
- If E7 persists, the main control board may not be controlling the damper correctly and should be tested by a professional.
