Possible Causes
Door left open, Recent large load of warm food, Power interruption, Failed compressor or sealed system leak, Faulty temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not leave the door open longer than necessary to avoid further warming.
Steps:
- Check door and gasket: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing all around. Remove items blocking closure.
- Recent usage: If you recently loaded a large quantity of unfrozen food or had a power cut, allow 12–24 hours for temperature to recover. The alarm should clear automatically.
- Check cooling: After 1–2 hours, feel for cold air inside and check if the compressor and internal fan are running.
- Clean condenser: Pull the unit out and gently vacuum the condenser coils at the back or underneath.
- If there is no cooling (room-temperature interior, compressor not running or running but no frost on evaporator), there may be a sealed system or compressor fault that requires a refrigeration technician.
- If temperature is actually low but alarm persists, suspect a temperature sensor or control board issue and follow sensor diagnostics.
