Possible Causes

Deformed or torn door gasket, Dirty gasket or cabinet frame, Misaligned door hinges, Warped door

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the freezer is unplugged if you need to adjust hinges or remove the door.

Steps:

  • Clean gasket: Wipe the gasket and cabinet contact surface with warm soapy water to remove grease and debris.
  • Check for gaps: Close the door on a strip of paper at various points. If the paper pulls out easily, the seal is weak there.
  • Warm and reshape: Use a hair dryer on low heat to gently warm and reshape minor gasket distortions. Do not overheat.
  • Adjust hinges: If the door is sagging, adjust the top and bottom hinges to align the door squarely with the cabinet.
  • Replace gasket: If torn or permanently deformed, remove the old gasket (usually push-in or screwed under a retainer) and fit a genuine Beko replacement gasket.
