Freezer not cooling at all, interior at room temperature, light may still work

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before accessing the compressor compartment.

Steps:

• Check power: Confirm the outlet works by testing with another appliance. Ensure the freezer plug is fully inserted.
• Listen for compressor: After plugging in, listen at the back. A healthy compressor will usually hum quietly. Clicking every few minutes without running suggests a start device issue.
• Inspect compressor area: Remove the rear lower cover. Check the start relay/PTC and wiring for burning or loose connections.
• Replace start device: If the relay/PTC is suspect (burnt, cracked, rattling), replace it with a genuine Beko start relay/PTC matched to your compressor model.
• If the compressor still does not start or is extremely hot to touch, the compressor or main control board may be faulty. These require a qualified refrigeration technician.
