Worn or stuck membrane keypad, Moisture ingress into control fascia, Loose ribbon cable to display PCB, Faulty display PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the control fascia.
Steps:
- 1. Clean fascia: Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- 2. Access keypad: Remove the fascia to expose the keypad membrane and ribbon cable. Check for signs of moisture or corrosion.
- 3. Reseat cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad and display PCB.
- 4. Test buttons: With power restored, test each button. If some or all remain unresponsive, replace the keypad membrane or the entire display PCB assembly, depending on design.
