Possible Causes
Stuck fast-freeze relay on PCB, Faulty fast-freeze button, Shorted control line on PCB, Firmware logic error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing controls or PCB.
Steps:
- 1. Try to toggle: Press the fast-freeze button to turn the function off. If the indicator does not change, suspect a button or PCB fault.
- 2. Button test: Access the control fascia and test the fast-freeze button or membrane for continuity when pressed. Replace if faulty.
- 3. PCB relay: Inspect the PCB for a relay dedicated to fast-freeze. If its contacts are welded, the compressor may run continuously. Replace the PCB.
- 4. Reset: Perform a full power reset (10–15 minutes unplugged) to clear any logic errors.
