Possible Causes

Loose or damaged communication harness between UI and main board, Failed display PCB, Oxidized connectors due to condensation, Faulty main control board communication driver

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the control panel or top cover.

Procedure:

  • 1. Remove control panel: Carefully unclip or unscrew the front control panel where the display and buttons are located.
  • 2. Inspect ribbon cable/harness: Check the cable between the UI board and main PCB for kinks, cuts, or burn marks. Ensure connectors are fully seated.
  • 3. Clean connectors: If you see light oxidation, gently clean contacts with electronic contact cleaner and allow to dry completely.
  • 4. Visual check of UI board: Look for cracked solder joints at the connector or obvious component damage.
  • 5. Reseat and test: Reassemble, restore power, and see if E10 clears and controls respond.
  • 6. Replace faulty board: If the harness is intact but the UI remains unresponsive, replace the display/user interface board. If a new UI does not resolve the issue, the main control board may be defective.
