Safety: Always unplug before opening any electrical compartment. If you smell burning, do not re-energize until inspected.

Steps:

• 1. Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance to confirm power.
• 2. Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, crushed sections, or burn marks. Replace the cord set if damaged.
• 3. Access terminal block: At the rear, locate the mains terminal block where the cord enters. Ensure screws are tight and no signs of overheating are present.
• 4. Inspect main control board: Remove the cover and look for a blown fuse (if fitted), burnt tracks, or bulging capacitors. Replace the fuse only with the exact same rating and investigate the cause of failure.
• 5. Replace control board: If the board is visibly damaged or unresponsive, install a new Bomann-compatible main PCB.
