Possible Causes
Door left open or frequently opened, Large warm load added without SuperFreeze, Defective temperature sensor, Compressor or sealed system fault, Poor ventilation around condenser
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for basic checks, but unplug the unit before removing any panels.
Immediate actions:
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing all around. Remove any items blocking closure.
- Reduce warm load: If you recently added a large quantity of unfrozen food, activate SuperFreeze (if available) and avoid opening the door for several hours.
- Check ventilation: Confirm that the freezer has adequate clearance and that the rear grille and condenser are not clogged with dust.
- Monitor temperature: Place a thermometer inside and monitor over 12–24 hours. If temperature does not drop to the setpoint, further diagnosis is needed.
- Sensor and system check: If the unit runs continuously but does not cool, suspect a sealed system issue (refrigerant leak, blocked capillary, weak compressor) or a faulty sensor. These require professional service.
Note: Do not refreeze thawed food that has been above safe temperatures for extended periods.
