Freezer shows AL11; interior light may stay on or off incorrectly, door alarm may behave erratically

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door switch or working near wiring.

Steps:

• Observe light behavior: Open and close the door. If the light does not change state, suspect the switch.
• Remove door switch: Gently pry out the switch from the cabinet frame. Disconnect the connector.
• Test switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity while pressing and releasing the switch. Replace if it does not open and close reliably.
• Inspect harness: Check for pinched or broken wires near the hinge area. Repair or replace as needed.
• Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes squarely against the cabinet. Adjust hinges if the door is sagging.
• If switch and wiring are OK: The main control board input may be defective and require replacement.
