Safety first: Unplug the freezer. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.

Steps:

• Locate drain: On no-frost Brandt freezers, the defrost drain is usually under the evaporator behind the interior rear panel.
• Clear ice: Remove the panel and gently melt any ice around the drain hole with warm water or a hair dryer on low.
• Flush drain: Use a turkey baster or syringe to flush warm water through the drain until it flows freely into the rear drain pan.
• Check rear drain tube: At the back, ensure the drain tube is correctly positioned over the drain pan and not kinked.
• Clean drain pan: Remove and clean the pan if accessible, then reinstall.
