Possible Causes
Door left open, High internal temperature, Faulty door switch (if fitted) causing false alarm
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Check food condition; prolonged high temperature can make food unsafe.
AL is a general alarm indicator on some Bush freezers.
- Confirm door closure: Make sure the lid or door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing all around. Remove any items preventing closure.
- Silence alarm: Press the alarm or set button once to silence the beeper. The display may continue to show an alarm until temperature recovers.
- Allow cool-down: If the freezer was recently loaded or power was interrupted, allow time for temperature to drop. Avoid frequent door opening.
- Check door switch (if present): On upright models with a light, ensure the door switch is not stuck. Press it manually; if the light stays on or alarm persists, the switch may be faulty and should be replaced.
If the alarm persists despite correct temperature and door closure, further diagnosis of sensors and control board is needed.
