Bush freezer displays E6; control panel may be unresponsive or buttons do not change settings reliably.

Safety first: Isolate the freezer from the mains before opening the control panel. Avoid static discharge to electronic boards.

E6 indicates a problem with the user interface or communication between the display and main control board.

• Power cycle: Unplug the freezer for 10 minutes, then reconnect. If E6 returns, proceed with inspection.
• Remove control fascia: Unscrew and gently pull the control panel away from the cabinet. Do not strain the ribbon cable.
• Check for moisture and corrosion: Look for signs of condensation, water marks, or corrosion on the keypad PCB and connectors. Dry gently with a lint-free cloth if damp.
• Inspect ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon cable is fully seated in both the display PCB and main control PCB. Reseat the connectors by unplugging and plugging them back in.
• Visual PCB check: Look for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the control panel PCB.
• Replace faulty UI board: If damage is visible or E6 persists, replace the touch control / display PCB with a Bush-compatible part.
• Reassemble and test: Refit the fascia, restore power, and verify that buttons respond and the error code is cleared.

If replacing the UI board does not resolve the issue, the main control PCB or wiring harness may be at fault and should be checked by a professional.
