Warm Air Ingress Causing Excessive Frost
Excessive frost build-up on interior walls and food, especially near the top or around the door opening.

Possible Causes
Damaged door gasket, Door not closing fully due to overloading, Misaligned door hinges on Bush upright freezer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before adjusting hinges or performing a full defrost.
- Inspect gasket: Look for splits, gaps, or areas where the gasket does not contact the cabinet. Warm, moist air entering will cause heavy frost.
- Check door alignment: On upright models, ensure the door is level and square. Adjust the door hinges by loosening the mounting screws and realigning the door, then retighten.
- Reduce overloading: Avoid stacking items so high that they press against the door and prevent full closure.
- Manual defrost: Once the cause is corrected, fully defrost the interior to remove existing frost and restore efficiency.
Persistent frost despite good seals may indicate a faulty defrost system on frost-free models (see E3).
