Freezer display shows AL and an audible alarm sounds

• Check door and gasket: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing. Correct any obstructions or misalignment.
• Verify temperature: Use a thermometer to check actual freezer temperature. If high, follow high temperature troubleshooting (clean coils, check fan, etc.).
• Test door switch: Press the door switch manually; the interior light should turn off. Replace the switch if it does not operate correctly.
• Sensor check: If the alarm persists with normal temperature and a good door switch, test the freezer thermistor and replace if faulty.
