Possible Causes
Turbo Freeze mode accidentally enabled, Control software glitch, Thermistor reading out of range, Main control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Most steps can be done with power on; avoid touching internal wiring.
- Check modes: On Café freezers, tF can indicate Turbo Freeze. Press the Turbo Freeze or related button to turn the mode off. Refer to the user manual for your specific model.
- Power cycle: If tF remains even after turning off special modes, unplug the freezer for 5 minutes and plug it back in to reset the control.
- Verify temperature: Use a thermometer to confirm actual freezer temperature. If it is far from the setpoint, test the freezer thermistor and replace if out of spec.
- Control board issue: If the thermistor is good and tF persists with abnormal operation, the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
